Things that have made RV life easier

I’m going to share some of my favorite gadgets we’ve acquired for our rig.

As you can imagine, going from an almost 3000 sq ft home to 400 sq feet is a challenge. Obviously we started with just bringing essential items. We have plenty of stuff back in Missouri that we have to get, but mostly Christmas decor and our personal belongings that mean something. We got rid of all our furniture and unnecessary items. We will eventually be starting over from square one. But that will be FUN!

So here are a few of my must haves…

https://amzn.to/47kIXyO These are solar powered, motion lights. We get plenty of sunshine to charge these up. I love the motion sensor feature. We often come home late, so it’s nice having one of these over our door to light our way in. I also have one on the front of the rig, so we can see to back in and not hit the front of the rig. I put two on the back to light up our rack (our “shed”).

https://amzn.to/3su1lq3 Our family is pretty picky about our water. At home we had a Primo water cooler, but that is too big to come in the rig. I found this handy water dispenser. We drilled a hole in our kitchen countertop, fed the hose through and down into our Primo water bottle. We could trade our water bottle in for a new one each time, but I chose to wash and disinfect ours and refill it. We have many Primo refill stations near where we are located. This is so handy to refill our water bottles at the push of a button.

https://amzn.to/467ylCh Speaking of water, who wants water without ice? I read a lot of reviews on these handy ice machines before buying this one. This is right at the top of my must have list! It makes 9 cubes every 7 minutes or so. We have a bin in our freezer for our ice that we fill up about every other day. This machine is so easy and works amazing. We just run it while sitting around, cooking, cleaning, etc. It’s so nice not to have to go buy ice. Keep in mind that this doesn’t store your ice, just makes it.

https://amzn.to/3swJyP3 We love our new door lock. It has keys, fobs and a programmable code. We use the code option the most. It’s easy to set your own code and not have to mess with carrying extra keys or fobs. So easy, even our 9 year old easily opens the door which the code option. It was super simple to install, only took me a few minutes.

https://amzn.to/3G0hQ04 Another thing I love is our grater. It suctions down to the counter top and has a variety of blades that easily snap in for different grating options. I use it constantly for cheese and veggies. It’s also super easy to take apart and clean. The extra blades have a handy storage container to keep them all in one place.

so these are five our my favorite things we have bought for our rig.

Shelley by the Sea

Searching for land is an adventure for us. We’ve been trying to figure out where exactly we want to settle down at. Today we drove up the coast. I found two prospects that I’m in love with. Perfect for what we want to create there.

I love being able to teach my kids how to go about achieving your goals. This is something I’ve wanted for over twenty years. I will not let anything hold me back now. Soon I hope to share my dream here and show how I achieved it.

An image I took today. A cold, rainy day. But I see beauty in these days. They feed my soul with their tranquility.
